I am a 42 year old computer-literate woman who worked in an office for almost 2 years. The office closed in 2001. I am married to a wonderful man and have a little dog named "Smile". If you knew her you would know why we call her that. I have worked various non-computer related jobs ever since.

I am seeking to expand my horizons by becoming a web designer. I realize as fast as the field is moving it may take me some time, but I really would like the job.

Another aspect that appeals to me is working out of my home which is a stress-free environment. My future boss is paying for this class and materials. So I already have job security. We've been friends for quite awhile and are both seeking ways to better our financial situation. I only work two days a week at my other job, so it doesn't even put a dent in my needs financially.

Another reason I would like this field of work is that it uses many of the skills I already have and builds upon them further, which makes me a more marketable employee.
